PRESS RELEASE
For Immediate Release
Whitetails Unlimited has two new field directors, one in Michigan to replace a retiring field director and a new position in New York state to cover the Northeast United States.
Jason Maraskine is replacing retiring field director Dale Myer in Michigan. A native of Midland, Michigan, Maraskine is an avid outdoorsman, and enjoys fishing, golfing, and all types of hunting, particularly waterfowl hunting. An enthusiastic ice fisherman, he has patented two devices for ice fishing. Maraskine has a degree in marketing management from Northwood University, and worked in sales and customer service for Dow Corning. Maraskine will be based in Midland, Michigan, where he lives with his wife, Michelle.
Gary Ramsey will be establishing a new, full time presence for Whitetails Unlimited in the Northeast U.S. from an office in the Adirondack Mountains in central New York. Ramsey has a business administration degree from Mellen University, and worked for 30 years in marketing, sales and customer service operations. He enjoys hunting, camping, boating, snowshoeing and snowmobiling, and spending time with his grandchildren. Ramsey and his wife, Marilyn have two adult daughters and live in Woodgate. He is also a state-licensed guide, outdoor columnist, and is an ASHI certified instructor for wilderness first responder and CPR.
“We’re very pleased that these two outstanding gentlemen joining us at Whitetails Unlimited,” said Dave Hawkey, vice president of field operations. “They bring a tremendous amount of experience in customer service and marketing, and are real hunters and outdoorsmen, which means they understand our members. Jason has some big shoes to fill in replacing Dale Myer in Michigan, but he’s been working with Dale and the transition is going to be very smooth,” Hawkey said.
“We’re particularly excited about expanding into New York and the Northeast, and having Gary Ramsey represent us there. We’ve had some events in that area for several years, and now we will be able to fill the demand from passionate deer hunters in that part of the country with a full time field rep. Our recent expansion into Texas has been very successful, and we’re thrilled to now bring our event system and policy of grassroots fund raising into the Northeast part of the U.S.”
