PRESS RELEASE
For Immediate Release
Frankfort, Ky. – A woodcarver hunts for ducks – and finds them – in a block of cedar this weekend, December 27 and 28, on “Kentucky Afield” television.
Everyone has tried a hand at whittling. Bob Gibson’s handiwork looks more like a Whistler. The detail this Washington County craftsman puts into his carvings is nothing less than artful. His floating decorative duck decoys appear ready to leap into the air with lifelike color and feathering. Host Tim Farmer visits Gibson’s studio and still can’t believe his eyes.
On another segment of the show, two Kentucky squirrel hunters also head two of the state’s larger law enforcement agencies. We head to the hills of Shelby County with Kentucky State Police Commissioner Rodney Brewer and Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources Commissioner Jon Gassett as they hunt for supper.
Lastly, bundle up. It’s sauger season on the Ohio River below the locks near Uniontown. Captain Paul Willitt putts Farmer on a hot cold-weather fishery.
