Coraopolis, PA – “You have to be in it to win it” took on a whole new meaning for seven lucky Ruffed Grouse Society (RGS) members, who at the time of purchasing one of several fundraiser dinner sponsorship packages, chose to have their name entered in the initial RGS national drawing, rather than select one of two other options.
“In past years we gave our banquet sponsors a print. This year we gave our banquet sponsors the option of selecting a discount coupon, the print, or entering the national drawing that featured a selection of quality firearms manufactured by Guerini and Kimber; Steiner Binoculars, and a $1,000 Cabela’s Gift Certificate. About 70-percent of those eligible entered the raffle,” said RGS Executive Director and CEO, Mike Zagata, adding that the program will continue through 2009.
To become eligible banquet attendees would have to purchase one of three sponsorship packages — Banquet ($250), Conservation ($500) or Sustaining ($1,000) — each of which includes (along with various other incentives) 1, 2 and 4 tickets respectively.
The seven National Raffle Winners are as follows:
