A dedication ceremony celebrating Turkey Run State Park’s new 200-seat amphitheater is set for May 30 at 7 p.m., thanks to the Rockville (Indiana) Rotary and the non-profit Friends of Turkey Run and Shades State Parks.
Speakers include Tom Branum, Sr., a former local Rotarian now working at the international level of the club; Vicki Basman, chief interpreter for the DNR Division of State Parks and Reservoirs; and Mike Maloney, vice-chairman of the Board for Friends of Turkey Run and Shades State Parks.
Coffee and desserts, plus live music from Sugar Creek Woodwind Quintet will be available after the event.
The amphitheater is located between the pool and the tennis courts in the main parking area. All ages are welcome.
Park entrance fees of $5 per vehicle for Indiana residents and $7 per vehicle for non-residents will apply.
