The South Mountain Chapter of the Ruffed Grouse Society has scheduled a Cover Dog Training Seminar for Saturday, August 22, 2009 at the Northern Lancaster County Game and Fish Protective Association, 180 Forest Road, Denver, Pennsylvania beginning with registration at 7:45 a.m.

According to Jan Christen, this is a handler clinic for amateur bird dog trainers. Conducted by Bob Ecker, training sessions will be held from 8 a.m. – noon. Ecker, a professional trainer with Midnight Kennels will answer questions and provide help and insight into understanding how to accomplish your training goals. In addition, local veterinarian Dr. McGrath, of Donegal Animal Hospital, will discuss canine emergency and field first aid.

Registration is $30 and includes lunch.
