Team Hornady member Kelly Neal won the Open Division and took High Overall amongst 140 other competitors. The one day event, hosted by the Starry Shooting Range in Corpus Christi, Texas designed a seven stage match using standard and 1/3 scale IPPA paper targets, steel knock down flashers and moving targets to put the shooters to the test.
After the match, Kelly said, “Vickers Scoring method was used which rewards accuracy, so I shot Hornady 55 grain V-MAX™ for the short range courses and Hornady 75 grain BTHP’s for the long range targets; they carry more energy to activate the reactive steel targets. I’m very proud to be a member of Team Hornady, using Hornady, I’m guaranteed the ammo will always be consistent and accurate and Hornady has terrific progressive re-loading equipment.”
