Excitement continues to build for the U.S. Sportsmen’s Alliance Foundation’s (USSAF) 14th Annual “Save Our Heritage” Rally with George Thornton, CEO of the National Wild Turkey Federation (NWTF), to be in attendance. He will be joining other special guests, Ohio Governor Ted Strickland and his challenger this fall, Fox News Commentator and former Congressman John Kasich.

The event, sponsored by Gander Mountain, is Saturday, September 25 at the Aladdin Shrine Temple in Columbus. Doors open at 3:00 p.m.

“We are honored that George Thornton, the leader of one of our greatest partners in the fight for our hunting heritage will be joining us,” said Bud Pidgeon, USSAF president and CEO. “The support offered to us by the NWTF is invaluable and just one of many examples of how they are a leading defender of our outdoor heritage.”

The night will conclude with the Grand Prize drawing where, as in years past, one lucky attendee will take home a deed for 20 acres of prime hunting land in Monroe County, courtesy of Carl Baker and family and B & N Coal Company, Dexter City, Ohio.

Besides the grand prize, many other items, including numerous Remington and other fine firearms, bows, outstanding hunting and fishing trips and much more will be available through both silent and live auctions. A highlight of both auctions is the many valuable items from the NWTF banquet auction package that will be featured. This includes the limited edition Remington 1100 G3 – the 2010 NWTF Gun of the Year, courtesy of NWTF. Click here for a partial list of Live Auction items and other Rally information.

“As always, this Rally is ‘the place to be’ for Buckeye sportsmen that want to have a fun filled night and keep the outdoor heritage strong,” added Pidgeon.
