She served food all day to anxious crowds waiting to see her up close and say hi. Thousands waited patiently and in good humor. Everywhere you looked someone was looking at you with a nod and a grin. No words were needed.

Her farewell was held in the upper section of Anchorage, now called The Square – which used to serve as a runway. A great place for parades.

Two hours into the three hour event, the grounds were spotless. I got the feeling of being home at the family reunion – and why not. Folks were spread throughout the grounds picnicking their time away for a
glimpse and few words from the soon to be ex-governor.

“Going out” is a phrase used a lot if you are flying to the lower 48… and returning.. That is how I see her. She will be back…with the rest of the family. God Bless America!
